Our monthly Subscription Box is our signature product and is similar to a veggie box program. It includes a variety of fermented seasonal preserves which are all locally crafted, cultured & curated by our team of artisans at our commercial kitchen. Members join for a season at a time, and pick up their goodies once a month.

Along with our subscription Box program, we offer series of events for foodies who are interested in having conscious celebrations along fermented foods and beverages. We also offer small-group workshops and community kitchen events to help get our members going from start to success, with any fermentation they choose to produce.

FAQ'S

Are fermentations safe?

Yes! preserved-by-fermentation vegetables are safer than cooked or pasteurized vegetables, thanks to the colonization of lactic acid bacteria which secrete lactic acid during fermentation. They outperform, hunt down and even kill harmful bacteria that might be present, while creating unfavourable acidic conditions that Prevent the growth of unfriendly and pathogenic microorganisms . We make sure our fermented products reach a pH level of 4.6 or lower in accordance with Health Canada regulations, to bring you a completely safe and nutritious product.

Are fermented foods beneficial?

Yes! Fermented vegetables are more digestible than cooked, pasteurized or even raw ones because they contain “living bacteria,” that help digest those foods in the digestive tract.

Lactic acid bacteria also synthesize vital nutrients like B vitamins from fermented foods that are in turn taken up through the gut lining. In fact, some vital nutrients like vitamin K2 can only be produced and synthesized by bacteria through fermentation.


The World Health Organization reports, “From the food safety point of view, the benefits of fermentation include the inhibition of the growth of most pathogenic bacteria and the formation of bacterial toxins”.

How long do fermented foods last?

Our fermented vegetables, which have a regulated 1 to 2 percent salt by volume, should keep well for a minimum of four to nine months in your refrigerator. We have however, enjoyed our ferments even more than a year after we've created them!
